So you decided to come and visit my "About Me" page, eh? Alrighty then...
About Me
I live in Idaho, and I'm currently in college, though I plan to graduate in April. My real name is Jordan Calderwood, though I usually go by my nick-name on the internet, J-Bob - hence the name of the site!
I got my nick-name from a group of people I hung out with in High School. We used to go to Papa Kelsey's Pizzeria and hang out for hours on end. One of my friends, Robert Howe, started giving everyone a rudimentary nick-name, which consisted of their first initial, followed by "Bob". Most of my friends didn't like the idea, but somehow my nick-name stuck. Silly? Yes, yes it is.
I'm largely a fan of action and family movies, and I'm always looking for movies to add to my collection. I don't watch R-rated movies, nor do I review them, because most of the movies that I have seen that were R-rated have left a funny taste in my mouth. What I mean by that is that many of them were poorly produced, had a very weak story, too much senseless violence - a.k.a. blood and gore, etc. So, if anyone suggests I do a review on one, chances are it won't happen.
Inspiration
I started doing movie reviews in October, and I got my inspiration for doing them from Spoony and The Nostalgia Critic. Most of their reviews contain a high level of profanity, so I decided to do my own, sans the profanity, at least to the extreme they go to.
Since I've never done anything like this before, the first few reviews are extremely long winded; as time has gone on, however, I've managed to bring them down to a reasonable amount of time.
Interests
I enjoy drawing, reading, and pursuing the internet. I don't have any artwork ready to post on my site, but I am working on a few pieces of line art, which I hope to finish sometime soon (before the new year).
I do write fan-fictions, and I have posted one story on Fan-Fiction.net, under my pen-name "J-Bob The Brave." It's called "Everything Ends." This one is not for everyone, though - it's got some coarse language in it, due to the source material I am basing my fan-fiction off of. I do have several others started, but unfortunately, none are close to being done.
