So, I've been playing this for the past few days, and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far. Much like the reviewers at IGN, the graphics are awe inspiring, but gameplay is very much like God of War. I'm taking my time trying to get through all the trials, and collect all the crystals to increase my stats, so it is taking a bit longer than usual. One reviewer mentioned that if you do try to do all the trials, it will take upwards of 25-30 hrs, so I'm not too surprised at how long it's taking.
If you can find a place to rent it, I would suggest that first, to see if you like the new style. If you are stuck to the 2-D side-scrolling adventures, this game probably isn't for you.

I haven't played the entire game, but the demo did sum it up for me a bit. I also guessed it would be similar gameplay to God of War and Dante's Inferno and you were right. I wouldn't mind continuing through the game though, just to find out if it has a good story to go along with it. Guess I'll have to find out for myself! :)
