Yeah...
So, in case anyone was curious about the Russian subtitles in my Charlie's angel review, I ripped the DVD from a friend who got it from Russia. Then, after I started editing the review, I noticed that I had forgotten to turn the subtitles off. So, I was compelled enough to get an English version of the DVD, but too lazy to re-rip it again.
Sound stupid? Yes, yes it is. Do I care? No, no I do not.
And, BTW - Midnight showings are abysmal when you have class at 7:45 the next morning! Yes, I went and saw Harry Potter Part 1 last night with my brother and a few of my old co-workers, and I was really glad they stuck to the book much more closely this time, as far as I remember anyways. The intro was a little bit out of order, but everything else was very satisfying.
Though, the zealots might not agree with what I just said...to whom I say - GET OVER IT! Griping and moaning over things you can't change just makes you bitter, and nobody wants to listen to what you have to say! When you become multi-millionaires and get the rights to re-release these movies in a better way, fine - but until then - BUGGER OFF!
I'm not going to give anything away, and if you read the books, you should already know how the story ends. All I've got to say is that the author, J. K. Rowling, is very vindictive in this one! When I read this a year or two ago, I was shocked at how many people she killed - many prominent figures that hurt you when you see them go. No names will be named, but it really sucks!
I suppose it is somewhat understandable, because of the wizard war between good and evil, so some casualties are to be expected, but somebody needs a Prozac for crying out loud! Would I change the story if I could? Probably not. Things end on a good note, and that's just the way I like it.
I'm just glad they didn't release this in 3-D to bleed an extra $5-6 dollars out of the viewers.
That's all for now - later.
