Fan-Fiction Spotlight - Where Darkness Falls

You guys still awake?

Well, I said that I review these, right? Guess I should do what I say, then, eh?

This is one I read several years ago, back in about 2006, and I've re-read several times - it is just that engaging. It crosses over Neon Genesis Evangelion (a series that I got very confused and frustrated with...) and Silent Hill (a game franchise that is still going strong).

For those that don't know anything about either series, it isn't that important to enjoy the story. Hovering around 66,000 words and 15 chapters, this one will take an afternoon, or solid evening to get through, just so you know.  I'm speaking from experience here, because I couldn't put it down once I started :P

Written by Grey Wolf4 & Random1377, the story starts out with Misato grumbling about how bad a job she's doing in raising Shinji and Asuka. Shinji has disappeared recently, and Misato has no idea where he's gone, until she gets a letter in the mail from him, post-marked Silent Hill, USA.

Misato takes off in search of Shinji, running into several characters from the Evangelion series, and a few new ones from the Silent Hill universe, created by the authors.

In order to rescue Shinji, Misato must own up to her past mistakes, and overcome a series of trials, which teaches her more about herself, and what she truly cares about. She also learns about the characters from the town of Silent Hill, and how the place destroyed their lives.

Now, this one has a higher rating on it, primarily because of coarse language, and some violence. If you don't like those kind of stories, steer clear of this one. Otherwise, I honestly believe you won't be disappointed with it.

It took me forever to find the link, maybe because I'm BLIND AS A BAT!!! (Just kidding) So, here's the link, to make it easier for you :)
